These terms cover what you buy from Painted Deep, a studio of [[ENTITY NEEDED]]. By ordering you agree to them.

What you buy

A print, a framed print, a canvas or a digital file of a drawing we make from public depth grids, OpenStreetMap data and, for the Satellite style, a licensed satellite or aerial pass, with the choices you made in the studio. The proof you approve in the studio is the drawing we print. Colours on paper differ a little from a screen.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and are set by our server from the product and the size; shipping is the printer's own charge at cost, shown before you pay. Stripe takes the payment. Sales tax or VAT, where it applies, is shown at checkout.

Gift codes

A gift code pays for one print or digital file up to its amount. It works once, has no expiry date and no cash value, and any amount left after the print is not refunded or carried over.

The drawing and the data

Each print credits its sources in its margin, as set out on Credits. Depths come from the grids described on Check the Depths; where a named deep's published depth and our reading differ, both are printed. Painted Deep is not affiliated with or endorsed by any agency, survey or government, and a place's name is used only to say which place is drawn.

Your words and your pin

You're responsible for the words you put on a print and the name you give your pin. We may refuse an order whose words are unlawful or abusive, and refund it in full.

Returns

Each print is made to order. Shipping and returns sets out what we do when one arrives damaged or wrong.

Liability

A print is a picture of a coast, never a navigation chart: don't use it to judge depth from a boat or a dive. Our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it, except where the law doesn't allow that limit.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where [[ENTITY NEEDED]] is established, without taking away any protection the law where you live gives you.
